On the other hand (foot?) this might all boil down to feet, and not shoes. I know I have weird saucony ballista feet (flat, really narrow) and messed-up toes (my second toes on both feet aren't long like the big toe, like most people's are, so my big toes put more strain on a smaller area and poke holes through socks like no one's business& plus my toes point up whenever I take a step/flex my calf muscle/try to kick a ball) and this has made buying shoes a pain in the neck my whole life& if my toes don't bump the shoes are usually too loose, but if the majority of my foot fits well, my toes will crash. Maybe the title of this post should be "Feet and the Drama They Cause;" it's not Saucony's fault that my feet are so bizarre!

I found the Kilkennys on Zappos and loved how light they were, and how saucony black sneakers freaking cool they looked (red! silver! I looked like a track star!). I rocked them until my first time working with a trainer at my gym, who watched me do some cardio in the Kilkennys with wide eyes and told me he wouldn't let me come back until I bought shoes with some support for my flailing ankles. They're the shoes that ushered me into this new running stage of my life, and for that I will always have a special place in my heart for the Brooks GTS. However, the more I ran in them, the less comfortable they were (as is the norm, I suppose.) I won a gift certificate to Marathon Sports, a dedicated running store, and decided to let one of their experts watch me run and suggest the right shoe for my weird feet.

The nylon-based fabric is thick enough to smooth out my bumpy bits and the wide, smooth waistband holds in my muffin-top like no other. I also adore the roomy side pockets--perfect for stashing several GU packets without making me look like a pack mule--cute'd up with scalloped reflective trim. To ward off the slight evening chill, I also pulled on a Nomad Sport Top, another incredibly flattering piece from Saucony. You name it, this hybrid top/jacket has it all, from thumb holes to loads of reflective trim, a half-zip, and laser perforations on the upper back for welcome ventilation. In addition, the super-soft, ideal-weight fabric is windproof with a water-repellent coating on the front and shoulders.

However, if that doesn't sound ideal to you, Saucony has developed a really great test that you can take on their website called Shoe Adviser' that will predict what type of trainer that you will likely need based upon your answers to their questions. The view from Chris's desk. How someone organizes their desk can tell you a lot saucony boston about how they get work done. That's why we're stepping into the offices of enviably creative (and productive) people to look at what's on their desks pens and notebooks and gadgets, but also décor and tchotchkes. Today, we've asked Chris Mahoney, creative director at the running-shoe company Saucony , to show and tell. Would you ever consider trying a 'barefoot' shoe like the vibrams? Not necessarily to use forever but to try, to feel the difference? I've only been running for just over a year, so I am so far from being an expert it's not funny.
